After a two-year pandemic break, MTH Potsdam was at two major events last week: re:publica in Berlin and the East German Business Forum (OWF) in Bad Saarow.
re:publica 2022
The re:publica was back LIVE at Arena Berlin and Festsaal Kreuzberg from June 8-10 for the first time since 2019. The MTH Potsdam was there on all three days of the festival. Among others, the Potsdam-based company Halostage exhibited with a mobile LED wall.
In addition to many program highlights, such as contributions from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, climate activist Luisa Neubauer or transformation researcher Maja Göpel, we saw great panels with speakers from the MTH Potsdam ecosystem. Among others, Erik Wolff (CEO Halostage) was in conversation with Franziska Koch,Wolf Bosse and Scherin Rajakumaran about “How does Virtual Productiond change the media location Berlin/Brandenburg?”.
From climate change, deepfakes, chatting with whales to confetti rain and Tocotronic concert - we take away exciting impressions and food for thought from re:publica 2022!
There will also be more about the re:publica and MediaTech content in our upcoming blog post in July 2022. Our MediaTech blog is available here.
OWF 2022
From June 12-14, this year’s East German Business Forum will once again take place LIVE in Bad Saarow. For the first time, the Digital Hub Initiative was also present with an event on site on Sunday, June 12, 2022 before the official opening. In addition to presentations from the Smart Systems Hub Dresden and IoT and Fintech Hub Berlin, there was also a presentation by Jenny Beutnagel from Interlake. Among other things, she presented the “Metaverse Ideation Workshop” in cooperation between MediaTech Hub Potsdam, Volucap and Interlake.
In addition, Andrea Wickleder (CEO MTH Potsdam) and Sven Bliedung (CEO Volucap) were part of a panel on “How can innovations be harnessed across industries?” and the startup ZAUBAR was on site with exhibits.
