Volumetric Records of Holocaust Survivors

77 years ago today, the Ausschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp was liberated by the Red Army. Today we commemorate the millions of victims who were cruelly murdered by the Nazis. We all bear responsibility for ensuring that anti-Semitism and racism have no place in our society.

In order to document the testimonies of Holocaust survivors and witnesses and to preserve them in the highest possible quality for future generations, institutions in Potsdam such as the UFA GmbH and Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF cooperated with the Volucap GmbH in Potsdam Babelsberg to do volumetric recordings of survivors. In interviews, eyewitnesses share their experiences and memories associated with the Holocaust. The material is made available to future generations through an archive and is used for educational and awareness-raising purposes.

We find such projects very important and therefore would like to share them with you:
