The startup ecosystem for technology-driven startups from Potsdam, Brandenburg and Berlin

MediaTech Hub Accelerator is the sparring partner for early-stage start-up teams. We are tech-drive and think cross-industry. A look at our portfolio demonstrates this. Some of our teams are assigned to the areas of film, music, storytelling, or fashion, while others cover construction, Industry 4.0, food tech, digital health, or smart government.

MediaTech Hub Accelerator‘s goal is to offer young startup teams an individually tailored program. This is achieved with the support of our initiators and key partners, the University of Potsdam, the Hasso Plattner Institute, and the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. We also aim to strengthen the startup ecosystem in Potsdam and Brandenburg through our expertise and community.

We offer early stage startups the opportunity to develop their business models, build valuable networks, and acquire skills in pitching, marketing, and sales, as well as in the legal, tax, and venture development areas.

Key information about the MTH Accelerator program:

  • The program takes place over six months. After this period, startups continue to have access to MTH events, coaching, and many more offerings.
  • We accept teams with at least two founders from the University of Potsdam, the HPI, the Film University, the SRH Universities Berlin as well as external teams from the metropolitan region.
  • We support each team individually within our weekly Office Hours
  • The program works in a hybrid way – via Zoom and through live events in Potsdam.
  • Our Founder Community already has more than 50 founders.

A Strong Academic Network

What makes our program extra special is its network of strong partners from Potsdam and Brandenburg. The MTH Accelerator was originally initiated in 2019 by the University of Potsdam alongside the Hasso Plattner Institute and the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. In 2021, the SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences joined as a partner. We’re happy to welcome teams that have a connection to these universities. This connection can originate from start-up teams beginning their consulting process at one of these universities or through alumni team members wanting to reconnect with their alma mater.

Enrich The Brandenburg Startup Ecosystem

Our network is very strong, and we have excellent support programs for local Brandenburg- and Berlin-based startups, agencies, and other companies who prioritize innovation. Many of these players come together at the MTH Accelerator.
