This year’s Web Summit, the largest innovation, start-up and tech conference in Europe, took place in Lisbon from November 13 to November 16, 2023. Innovators and tech experts, companies and start-ups came together at the Web Summit to exchange ideas, network and talk about the tech world of tomorrow. In addition, Germany presented itself as a partner country of the Web Summit for the first time this year.
Alongside the digital hubs IoT+ Network (Berlin), InsurLab Germany e.V. (Cologne) , InsurTech Hub Munich (Munich), Digital Hub Logistics Dortmund (Dortmund), CODE_n (Stuttgart), 5-HT Digital Hub - Chemistry & Health (Mannheim/Ludwigshafen), TechQuartier (Frankfurt), ZOLLHOF – Tech Incubator (Nuremberg), our Community & Partner Manager Luise Schröter also traveled to the Portuguese capital for the MTH Potsdam as part of the delegation of the Digital Hub Initiative. We were accompanied by our MediaTech Hub Accelerator portfolio start-ups Freispace, Winkt, RAVE.SPACE, PromiseQ, Yoona.ai and Klangchat as well as two other innovative companies from the MTH community: ZAUBAR and SerialFounders.
With a huge area of 648 square meters and under the motto “German Park - Creating Tomorrow Today”, the German Pavilion presented Germany as a leading investment location with its digital locations and a diverse, innovative start-up scene. There was also an extensive program with numerous keynotes, panel talks and pitching sessions, as well as side events such as the “German Startup Night” or “German Futures” in the German Apartment.
Participating in the Web Summit 2023 was a great enrichment for both MTH Potsdam and the companies from our community. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Digital Hub Initiative for the opportunity to be there.
