Review: T-Labs visit Babelsberg

On 6 Febru­ary 2023, we were plea­sed to wel­co­me a dele­ga­ti­on from T-Labs to our Media­Tech Hub Pots­dam in Babels­berg. First, the group went to the Media­Tech Hub Space at UFA. Media­Tech Hub Pots­dam CEO Andrea Wick­le­der intro­du­ced the Hub. After­wards, the start-ups 2Sync and Sen­sit! pre­sen­ted their Media­Tech solu­ti­ons. After the pit­ches of the two teams, Peter Effen­berg tal­ked about the topic of meta­da­ta and what lies behind the tech solu­ti­on jay. The end of the visit at the Media­Tech Hub Space was con­cluded by Tim Deus­sen, Crea­ti­ve Direc­tor of Stu­dio Deus­sen, who spo­ke about his XR pro­duc­tion studio. 

After­wards, the dele­ga­ti­on was able to visit the Volu­cap, the Halos­ta­ge and the Art Depart­ment Stu­dio Babels­berg and take a look behind the sce­nes. Last but not least, the group visi­ted the Babels­berg KON­RAD WOLF Film Uni­ver­si­ty to see the cX Stu­dio, among other things. 

About T-Labs

T-Labs is Deut­sche Telekom’s rese­arch and deve­lo­p­ment depart­ment that focu­ses on imple­men­ting new tech­no­lo­gy trends and deli­ve­ring tan­gi­ble results for Deut­sche Telekom’s inno­va­ti­on port­fo­lio. The cur­rent rese­arch are­as are: Future Net­works, Spa­ti­al Com­pu­ting, Net­work Secu­ri­ty and Digi­tal Twin and Decen­tra­li­sed Sys­tems. Co-rese­arch is the main task of the team, with the visi­on of achie­ving a supe­ri­or cus­to­mer expe­ri­ence and explo­ring dis­rup­ti­ve tech­no­lo­gies for future tele­com infra­struc­tures. From its loca­ti­on in Ber­lin, T-Labs col­la­bo­ra­tes with seve­ral uni­ver­si­ties in Ger­ma­ny, Euro­pe, Isra­el and around the world.
