Young MediaTech startups will be based over the next 21 months at the heart of the Potsdam-Babelsberg media city on the floor above Studio Five which is famous for the “Late Night Berlin” TV show. The MTH Lab stands for innovation and the realisation of ideas (DO!).

The MediaTech Hub Potsdam is one of twelve digital hubs in Germany. We give start-ups the chance to realize the next generation of future media technologies in Potsdam and provide the winners with discounted office space in the MediaTech Hub Lab. Apply until September 30, 2019, convince a jury and move in your office at the heart of the Potsdam-Babelsberg media city on January 1, 2020!

What to expect

Office Space

Move in your new office from 17 m² or more at the heart of Media City Babelsberg on January 1st, 2020 – including electricity, water, heating, internet and community areas like a meeting room and kitchen for about 8 €/m².
Network

The startups gain access to the digital hub initiative, for example over the slack channel and temporary co-working within Germany with the Startup Card of the initiative.
Visibility

The startups profit from more visibility through the online platform “Startup Finder” by the digital hub initiative that offers access to more than 200 startups from digital hubs allover Germany.

Cinuru Research

Cinuru Research offers data-based CRM solutions for the cinema industry with the Cinuru loyalty app. Cinuru combines the advantages of a bonus card with the possibilities of a film app and makes cinema personal and digital. The evaluation of the data gained through the app facilitates more efficient film marketing and direct communication between cinemas and audiences.

obob

obob is the craftsman app for data-enriched project and construction site photos: fast, comprehensible and immediately available in teams. Construction professionals and facility managers worldwide shoot millions of photos every day for documentation and communication. Without obob, many of the photos disappear, are on all kinds of devices, or the viewer is unable to interpret the images because important information is missing.

PRO.TAKE

PRO.TAKE is developing the Prop Identifier for film and series productions for the management of props. With this software, the used props and costumes can be recorded digitally with image, short textual description, number, costs and provision type. The Prop Identifier provides producers with a software that improves budget control, increases productivity and saves costs.

Slice production studios

Digital transformation – Slice makes it a reality for companies. With a unique blend of creativity and technology, the start-up Slice creates a complex system to enable businesses to move into digital transformation. Slice creates immersive, digital, and physical stories for its customers through a mix of expertises on services to develop its own software solutions.

visionYOU

Whether it be series, serious games, e-learning or apps: visionYOU‘s mission is to accelerate digital education and make it available to everyone. visionYOU is a creative agency and, as a content provider, creates digital educational formats with a high learning experience: contemporary, user-centered and strong in design.

Vragments

Vragments GmbH is a technology start-up for immersive media and develops the Fader web platform as well as the MIZ-backed WebXR toolkit XRDok which creatives and journalists can use to produce and publish interactive VR stories in a fast and easy way. Starting in June 2019, Vragments will be developing an AR app for water infrastructure as part of an EU project.
